Real Madrid transfer news LIVE: Neymar advantage over Barcelona, Man Utd decision on Pogba | Football | Sport

11:10 UPDATE: Real Madrid make Neymar swap deal offer

Real Madrid have offered young forward Vinicius Jr to Paris Saint-Germain in a possible exchange deal for Neymar.

Florentino Perez wants Neymar at the Bernabeu, despite Zinedine Zidane’s preference to land Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

And the Real chief has attempted to talk PSG into striking an agreement by proposing Vinicius heads to the Parc des Princes.

Spanish newspaper Sport claim the offer has come with Zidane unconvinced about what Vinicius can offer to Real.

11:05 UPDATE: What Paul Pogba told Man Utd boss

Paul Pogba has privately told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he is committed to the Manchester United cause for this season at least.

The midfielder is one of Zinedine Zidane’s priority targets this summer and the Real Madrid boss is desperate for a deal to happen.

Pogba is, though, prepared to knuckle down to help United over the course of the 2019/20 campaign.

ESPN reckon the Frenchman has confirmed his intention to work hard for the team during a behind-the-scenes chat with Solskjaer.

11:00 UPDATE: Zinedine Zidane fuming

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is seriously unhappy about the failure to land Paul Pogba yet.

That is the claim of El Pais reporter Diego Torres, who told the Independent: “Not signing Pogba puts Zidane on the brink of resigning. Zidane personally promised Pogba he would bring him to Madrid, and now he is left looking bad.

“This has only increased the lack of confidence between Zidane and Florentino. For Zidane, his project and Pogba are almost the same thing. Nothing that he was promised has really come to pass.

“Zidane returned as a protective shield for Florentino, but he has already fulfilled that political and social mission.”

10:30 UPDATE: Man Utd make Paul Pogba decision

Manchester United are now unwilling too consider bids for Paul Pogba even if they are higher than their £180m valuation.

United are no longer able to make signings after the Premier League transfer window slammed shut last Thursday.

And ESPN claim that means Pogba will have to stay put, despite the potential for Real to offer a mega fee for him.

Pogba played 90 minutes on Sunday as United kicked off their season with a 4-0 win over Chelsea, in which he provided two assists.

10:00 UPDATE: Neymar to Real Madrid boost

Real Madrid have an advantage over Barcelona in the race for Neymar because Paris Saint-Germain would rather sell him to Los Blancos.

Neymar is desperate to call it a day at the Parc des Princes, with the Bernabeu and Nou Camp both potential destinations.

Barcelona and PSG chiefs met earlier this week to discuss a potential deal for the forward to head back to Catalunya.

Mundo Deportivo, however, report Nasser Al-Khelaifi would sooner sell to Real, particularly if they stump up the full £200m (€222m) which PSG paid for him.
