Tanguy Ndombele to Barcelona
Barcelona are prepared to reactivate their interest in Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
That’s according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, who claim Ndombele is one of two versatile midfielders Catalan chiefs are considering this summer along with Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz.
The Spanish champions were eager to sign Ndombele last summer but Spurs won the race when paying Lyon £55million plus a further £9million in add-ons for his services.
But things haven’t gone smoothly for six-capped France international with manager Jose Mourinho publicly digging him out for his display during a draw with Burnley.
Mundo Deportivo claim Ndombele would ‘contemplate a change of scenery’ and Barcelona chiefs are interested.
Wanted: Federico Valverde
Manchester United have added Real Madrid star Federico Valverde to their transfer wishlist as they begin to plan for life without Paul Pogba.
The French international is expected to force a move away from Old Trafford at the end of the season after only making eight appearances this campaign.
And Spanish publication Diario Madridista, the Red Devils will attempt to sign Valverde if they lose Pogba.
Valverde, 21, has become a key component of Zinedine Zidane’s side this year and has a £460million release clause in his contract.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan to offer cut
Arsenal outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan will accept a wage reduction to join Roma, report the Daily Mail.
Mkhitaryan, 31, has enjoyed a profitable season-long loan at the Stadio Olimpico having scored six goals and provided three assists in 13 appearances.
And the Armenia international would be prepared to sign a new contract with Arsenal on half his £180,000-a-week wages providing he can return to Roma on loan.
The Serie A side would love to sign Mkhitaryan on a permanent basis but Arsenal’s £22million valuation is proving too steep.
Kai Havertz U-turn
Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz doesn’t want to join Bayern Munich.
German publication Sport.de claim the Bundesliga champions remain interested in the talented 20-year-old midfielder, who is expected to cost upwards of £92million.
But Havertz doesn’t consider Bayern an option.
However,Sport.de continue to add that Bayern Munich could be Havertz’s only remaining option with Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid supposedly ‘out of the question’ this summer.
With this in mind, it’s believed the Germany international will sign a new contract with Leverkusen that includes a release clause like that of RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
Diego Godin battle
Manchester United have been joined by Tottenham in the race to sign defender Diego Godin, claim The Mirror.
Jose Mourinho tried to sign Godin, 34, during his tenure at Old Trafford in 2017 but the player appeared to have used United’s interest to secure a lucrative new contract with Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan international joined Antonio Conte at Inter Milan on a three-year deal last summer but Corriere dello Sport say he’s unlikely to see out his contract.
Now, the Premier League duo are expected to battle it out for his services in the upcoming transfer window.
