Lambert continued: “One of the first conversations we had was what their expectations were.

“They said right away, ‘Please, just make it your own. You don’t have to worry about how Freddie did it exactly on the record.’

“That was a green light to me to just make sure I didn’t mimic him. That’s not what they were interested in.”

The singer went on to share how Queen and Adam Lambert pay tribute to Freddie Mercury today.
