Genshin Impact update 1.1 could be days away from launching, and the major patch release date could bring with it a tonne of new features. Genshin Impact has been a huge hit since launching last week, wracking up 21million pre-registrations across PC, PS4, and mobile devices. Interestingly, 17million of these came from mobile devices alone – which could hint that the upcoming Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch release will be absolutely huge.
And ahead of Genshin Impact landing on other platforms fans have found out a major new patch could be inbound.
As revealed in a post by Inverse, alleged leaks have claimed that a Genshin Impact update 1.1 download is in the works.
And, interestingly, the huge new Genshin Impact patch is rumoured to have a release date of Monday October 12 – just days away now.
Genshin Impact update 1.1 is expected to bring with it plenty of new content to the game, with up to eight new characters rumoured to be inbound.
One of these new characters is called Zhongli, according to leaks. This is a Geo-based character which uses a pole arm as a weapon. Elsewhere Cryo-based character Ayaka, who uses a sword, is also expected to be included in Genshin Impact update 1.1
Both of these characters were available at various stages of the Genshin Impact beta test. One of these characters is expected to automatically unlock once a player reaches Adventure Rank 42 in Genshin Impact.
Other characters that could also be coming to Genshin Impact in update 1.1 are Baizhu, Childe, Dainsleif, and Ganyu. Elsewhere, Genshin Impact update 1.1 is expected to bring with it another major new addition – a new region to explore.
It is believed Inuzuma, a third land which is themed after the Electro element, will be included with the latest patch and will unlock at Adventure Rank 34.
Elsewhere, it has also been claimed that Genshin Impact update 1.1 will bring with it new player challenges as well as a private messaging system.
It remains to be seen how reliable these Genshin Impact leaks are, and whether murmurs of an inbound update 1.1 patch turn out to be real or not.
Leakers for the Fortnite and Call of Duty community have an extremely reliable track record.
But with Genshin Impact being such a fresh game it remains to be seen what the veracity of these particular leaks are.
