The sale of the size 13 Nike Air Ship shoes in LasVegas for $1,472,000 is the highest price achieved for gameworn footwear. Superstar Jordan sported the trainers in 1984, the year he and Nike formed their famous partnership, creating signature shoes and clothing. They were originally given as a gift to a Denver Nuggets ball boy.
