Alec Baldwin shooting: Final image shows Halyna Hutchins on Rust set before death | World | News

Hutchins was killed after Alec Baldwin accidentally shot her during rehearsals where he was practicing drawing a gun in the church pew. Director Joel Souza was also wounded but Hutchins died after being shot in the chest.

Now, Rust’s head electrician Serge Svetnoy has shared the last picture of the cinematographer filming inside a church.

Mr Svetnoy had been standing near Hutchins when she was shot and recalled the moment she lay dying in his arms.

Paying tribute, he wrote on Facebook: “Yes, I was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Halyna during this fatal shot that took her life and injured the director Joel Souza.

“I was holding her in my arms while she was dying. Her blood was on my hands.

“I do not wish anyone to go through what I went through, what her husband Matt Hutchins and her son Andros went through, and the actor Alec Baldwin, who has been handed a gun on set.

“He has to live with the thought that he took the life of the human because of unprofessional people.”

In her final photo, it shows Hutchins holding a camera in a dimly lit chapel as Baldwin stands in his costume.

Last week, 24-year-old Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was named as the crew member who loaded Baldwin’s vintage Colt pistol.

The DA also told the New York Times that the gun handed to the star was a “legit” and “antique-era appropriate gun” and not a prop.

She added that there was an “enormous amount of bullets” on the set of the film which needed to be investigated.

Juan Rios, the spokesperson for Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office, told Deadline: “Both search warrants have been executed,” in reference to the two documents issued by a New Mexico judge on October 22 to let officers investigate the Bonanza Creek Ranch location of the shooting.

“More search warrants could be coming, but nothing has been filed yet. It’s going to be ongoing for a while.”
